A note on Scripture quoting
We’ve hit this translation’s public quoting limit for now, so this is a good time to pick up your own Bible and read the rest of the passage.
In short
Chapter 7 opens a new warning, and the father starts the way he often does: hold on to what I'm teaching you. But the pictures here are tender. Guard it like your own eyes, the part of you that you protect without even thinking. Tie it on your fingers, where you'll see it all day. Write it on your heart, where it shapes what you want.
Then he goes further: love wisdom like a sister, treat insight like a cherished member of the family. Rules kept at arm's length don't hold up under pressure. Wisdom you actually love and live with does. That's the protection verse 5 is talking about: when wisdom is a close relationship, flattery from somewhere else has a lot less pull.
Love wisdom like a sister; make insight a beloved member of your family. (NLT)

Each time you notice it, say it once in your head.
